Surrey’s Santa Parade – 2025.
Surrey’s Santa Parade of Lights lit up Cloverdale last Sunday with its signature mix of glowing floats, vintage vehicles, marching bands, and community spirit. Inspired by the iconic 1997 Coca‑Cola lighted truck commercial—partially filmed in Downtown Cloverdale—the parade once again transformed the neighbourhood into a sparkling holiday corridor. Families lined the streets as big rigs, antique trucks, dancers, mascots, and local organizations rolled through, each decorated with thousands of lights. The atmosphere was a blend of nostalgia and excitement, with children eagerly waiting for Santa’s grand arrival.
The parade continues to be one of Surrey’s most beloved holiday events, thanks to the efforts of the Cloverdale BIA, local businesses, non‑profits like the BC Vintage Truck Museum, and dozens of volunteers. Beyond the spectacle, the event also supports the community by encouraging donations for the Surrey Food Bank, the Surrey Christmas Bureau, and the Cloverdale Community Kitchen. Whether you came for the lights, the music, or the magic of seeing Santa, the parade delivered a joyful start to the holiday season and a reminder of how vibrant and connected the Surrey community can be.
