🎄 Surrey Santa Parade of Lights 2024 — A Night of Sparkle & Community Spirit



On the evening of Sunday, December 1st, the historic downtown of Cloverdale Town Centre in Surrey came alive with holiday magic as thousands gathered for the 2024 Surrey Santa Parade of Lights. The streets were packed, the air was full of laughter and cheer, and the glow of twinkling lights filled the night as the annual parade rolled through town.

A massive parade lineup: The 2024 event was declared the biggest ever by organizers, stretching nearly a kilometre bumper-to-bumper — a true testament to how much the parade has grown over the years. 
Lights, floats, and nostalgia: Vintage trucks, big rigs, decorated floats, and glowing holiday-themed vehicles rolled through Cloverdale’s charming Main Street. For many, the parade evokes a nostalgic holiday feeling — especially as the event draws inspiration from the iconic 1997 lighted truck commercial filmed in downtown Cloverdale. 
Community energy & spirit: Local marching bands, dance groups, community clubs, service organizations, and volunteers — all worked together to bring music, colour, and warmth to the night. Families lined the sidewalks, children waved eagerly, and neighbours exchanged greetings and holiday joy. 
Giving back: The parade isn’t just about lights and fun — it has a heart. Attendees were encouraged to bring non-perishable food items or unwrapped gifts. Donations went to causes like the Cloverdale Community Kitchen, the Surrey Food Bank, and the Surrey Christmas Bureau — helping spread holiday cheer to families in need across the region.
